OWINGS MILLS, Md. – The Stevenson University softball team opens its 2018 campaign on Saturday, March 3, when it travels to former Capital Athletic Conference foe Wesley College for a noon doubleheader. The twinbill kicks off a 40-game slate for the Mustangs.
After opening against the Wolverines, Stevenson travels south to play 10 games in Florida on Spring Break from March 10-14. The Mustangs will face Lancaster Bible twice as well as eight other schools in Leesburg and Lake County. Upon their return north, the home and MAC Commonwealth opener is set for Saturday, March 17, a twinbill at Weinberg-Fine Stadium against Widener.
March wraps up with three road twinbills, including a conference doubleheader at Arcadia on March 24, then the Mustangs host Salisbury in a 2:30 midweek doubleheader on Wednesday, March 28.
The Mustangs play their first six games of April at home, hosting Catholic and Washington (Md.) College for non-league doubleheaders on April 3 and 4, and Lebanon Valley for a MAC Commonwealth double dip on Saturday, April 7. Stevenson also plays host to Hood (April 11), Alvernia (April 21) and Frostburg State (April 24) before closing out the regular season at Lycoming on April 28.
The five-team MAC Commonwealth Championship is scheduled to be hosted by Lebanon Valley College on May 4-6.
