LA PLUME, Pa. - Stevenson women's basketball senior Sam Murray (Reisterstown, Md./St. Paul's School for Girls) totaled 11 points, nine rebounds, four assists, two blocks and five steals as the Mustangs rallied from a 12-point second half deficit to defeat Keystone 66-58 in overtime Thursday at Ace Spalding Arena in the season-opener for both teams.

Stevenson (1-0) trailed by 12 points, 45-33, with 5:58 remaining in the second half following a free throw by the Giants' Jenna Downs.

However, keyed by seven points from freshman Brittney Page (Wilmot, N.H./Kearsarge) and five from sophomore Kayleigh Guzek (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge), the Mustangs finished the half on a 16-4 run to tie the game at 49-49 and force overtime.

After shooting just 25.9 percent from the floor in regulation, Stevenson hit on five of its six attempts from the floor and 6-of-7 from the free throw line in the extra period while outscoring Keystone, 17-9.

Over the game's final 25 minutes, the Mustangs outscored the Giants 46-31, including 33-13 over the last 10:58. Stevenson was also 17-of-20 from the free throw line.

The Mustangs' starters scored 51 of their 66 points, led by 15 from Guzek, one short of her career-high set at St. Mary's (Md.) on Dec. 3, 2011. She also tied a career-high with seven rebounds, equaling the total she had versus Salisbury on Jan. 25, 2012.

Freshman Stephanie Martinez (Freehold Township, N.J./Freehold Township) totaled 13 points and six rebounds in her college debut while Page had 12 points and nine rebounds. The duo also combined for four of the team's six three-pointers.

Stevenson jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the game's first 6:03 before Keystone closed the half on a 27-10 spurt to take a seven-point halftime lead.

Jazmyn Robinson totaled 22 points, six rebounds, seven assists and four steals off the bench for the Giants who scored 45 of their 58 points off the bench. She scored 14 of her 22 points in the first half, but was held to just eight the rest of the way.

Keystone (0-1) also scored 36 points in the paint compared to 12 for the Mustangs.

Stevenson will have the next nine days to prepare for its home opener next Saturday, November 24 when the team welcomes NYU Poly to Owings Mills Gymnasium for a 2:00 p.m., tip-off.
