Wirtz Shoots 80 to Win Stevenson Fall Invitational, Mustangs Take Team Title

UPPERCO, MD. - Senior Morgan Wirtz carded an 80 to take the individual title by seven strokes as the Mustangs hosted the Stevenson Fall Invitational, held at the Piney Branch Golf Club. Stevenson won the team title by 32 strokes over second-place York (Pa.) for its third team championship on the year. The victory gives Wirtz seven career individual titles and 43 top-10 finishes. 

Freshman Emma VanDeCar shot an 89 to finish tied for third overall, while sophomore Julia Kline carded a 92 to take sixth overall for her third top-10 finish on the season. 

Freshman Laura Rentz, who finished the course with a 93, finished tied for 22nd on the leaderboard. 

Freshman Elise Glauser carded a 97 for the Mustangs. 

The Mustangs conclude their fall season at the Lady Dutchmen Fall Invitational, held at the Lebanon Country Club on Saturday, October 21 at 12:30 pm.
