Kline Leads Mustangs in First Round at Bridgewater Invitational

HARRISONBURG, Va. - Stevenson women's golf junior Julia Kline shot a six-over 78 to sit tied for third place after the first round of the Bridgewater Fall Invitational Saturday afternoon at Lakeview Golf Course.

The Mustangs shot a 324 to currently sit in third place just four shots off the leader, Christopher Newport. Denison sits in second with a team score of 322.

Kline shot one off her career-low and shot her best round of the season, posting her first sub-80 round. She also shot a 78-77 in last seasons Bridgewater Invitational. The trio of sophomore Emma VanDeCar, Elise Glauser and freshman Amanda Perez all sit tied for 12th with an 82.

Sophomore Laura Rentz shot a 92 while Lauren Griffith competed as an individual.

Stevenson returns to action on Sunday, September 23 when the Mustangs compete in round two of the Bridgewater Invitational.
