Mustangs One of Several Teams to Host "Chatsworth Night" at Home Games

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Beginning this winter, a total of 41 Stevenson student-athletes, including women's ice hockey, have been mentoring students one-on-one at Chatsworth Elementary School in Reisterstown. The program will continue through the month of April.

Among the student-athletes mentoring from women's ice hockey include sophomores McKenzie Taggart, Megan Donahue, Liana Vazquez, Kristen Webber, Sydney Hughes, Brooke Webber and Sarah Modzelewski.

The student-athletes are serving as mentors in the subjects of reading, math and physical education. Each of the 41 Stevenson student-athletes have been assigned to a student at Chatsworth. The program runs through April 25 and includes our participating teams inviting their mentees to a home game at Stevenson.

Led by men's soccer head coach John Plevyak, who has been working with Chatsworth Assistanct Principal Kelly O'Connell, the athletics department has donated Stevenson t-shirts to the Chatsworth students involved in the program and our athletes will be participating in Chatsworth's Spring Play Day.

The Chatsworth School is a learning community focused on academic excellence where all students achieve their highest potential and help others do the same.
