Women's Ice Hockey to Host Mental Health Awareness Game on Saturday

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - The Stevenson women's ice hockey team will hold its annual awareness game on Saturday, February 9 when the Mustangs host a United Collegiate Hockey Conference (UCHC) contest versus Neumann at Reisterstown Sportsplex beginning at 7:00 p.m.

Normally, teams across the country wear pink in conjunction with breast cancer awareness, but this year, the Mustangs will be wearing lime green in conjunction with mental health awareness.

Stevenson will encourage fans to wear lime/neon green and be donating 100 percent of the proceeds to the National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI). Admission to the game is free, but the team is asking fans for a suggested donation of $3.

There will be a chuck-a-puck contest, silent auction, and a raffle to win two tickets to see the defending Stanley Cup Champions, Washington Capitals.

Silent auction items include a team autographed stick and Stevenson ice hockey apparel.

Following the game, the team will hold a meet and greet autograph session.
