VJC Ranks in Top 10

Stevenson, MD.- The Villa Julie College Women's Lacrosse Team is excited to announce that they are among the top ten teams in NCAA DIII in Power Rank Changes according to the Laxpower.com website. Villa Julie College Women's Lacrosse jumped 31 places over the 2006 season, placing them 6th out of 156 teams in power ranking improvement in 2006. Laxpower.com is well respected and one of the most comprehensive lacrosse websites in the country.

At the conclusion of the 2005 season, VJC was ranked 117 out of 156 teams in NCAA DIII. With a jump up in their strength of schedule in 2006 and several more quality wins, the team raised the bar and ascended to a rank of 86 with a ranking change of + 31. This increase in the power ranking will help the Mustangs' confidence as they head into the second toughest conference in DIII, the Capital Athletic Conference, for the 2007 season.
