Lauren Zegowitz Named CAC Player of the Week

Owings Mills, MD - After making history in Sunday's CAC win over York College, the Villa Julie Women's Lacrosse Team celebrated another accolade. Sophomore Lauren Zegowitz was named the CAC Player of the Week for her stunning performances in a 3-0 week for the Mustangs.
In a record setting week for Villa Julie Women's Lacrosse, Lauren Zegowitz led the Mustangs, with three stunning performances to keep them hot in the race for the CAC crown. In the win over Neumann at the start of the week, Zegowitz had 4 goals, 2 assists, 6 groundballs, 4 draw controls and 1 caused turnover. On senior day, Zegowitz stole the show again, recording 5 goals, 1 assist, 4 draw controls and 1 caused turnover. Lauren saved the best for last in the CAC First Round against York, helping cause the only upset of the tournament. She recorded 3 goals, 2 assists, 5 groundballs, 3 draw controls, and 4 caused turnovers.
