Kauffman And Zegowitz Achieve CAC Recognition

York, PA - Villa Julie Women's Lacrosse players Patricia Kauffman and Lauren Zegowitz have been rewarded for their outstanding performances by being named to the CAC All-Conference Team. The Mustangs have been in excellent form this season and have finished up the regular season schedule with a 12-5 record with two of those losses coming against the number one team in the country, Salisbury University. Kauffman and Zegowitz helped the Mustangs record their longest win streak in history (7) and the most wins in a season (12).

Junior Tricia Kauffman (Cockeysville, MD/Dulaney) consistently prevented the opposition from getting attacking opportunities. Kauffman's physical performances gained the respect of the other CAC coaches, earning her a place in the CAC first team. Kauffman leads the Mustangs in caused turnovers with 31 and has also collected 39 ground balls and 23 draw controls.

Sophomore Lauren Zegowitz (Gaithersburg, MD/Damascus) has been a constant thorn for her opponents with her defensive and attacking abilities. Zegowitz was named to the CAC second team for her perfomances as a midfielder. This season Zegowitz was named a CAC player of the week and is the current points leader for the Mustangs wth 43 goals and 25 assists. Lauren has also controlled 54 draw controls and 28 caused turnovers.
