Megan Weiss Honored by CAC, womenslacrosse.com

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - A day after being named CAC Co-Player of the Week, Stevenson University women's lacrosse sophomore Megan Weiss (Odenton/Seton) was named to the Division III Honor Roll by womenslacrosse.com on Tuesday.
Weiss shared the conference player of the week with Salisbury's Meagan Osipowich and was the first Mustang to receive the award this season. Junior Lauren Zegowitz (Gaithersburg/Damascus) also won the award on April 22, 2008.
Weiss totaled nine points on eight goals and one assist last
week as Stevenson went 2-0 in two CAC contests, including a 15-6
win over Marymount (Va.) in the quarterfinals of the CAC Women's
Lacrosse Championship. She also added four ground balls, two draw
controls and
two caused turnovers.
Weiss began the week with three goals, one assist, two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover in an 18-2 win at Hood in the team's regular season finale before adding five goals, one shy of her career-high, two ground balls, one draw control and one caused turnover versus Marymount.
This season, Weiss is third on the team with a career-best 39 goals, seven assists and 46 points.
Stevenson travels to Salisbury on Tuesday for a 7:00 p.m., contest with the Sea Gulls in the semifinal of the CAC Women's Lacrosse Championship.
