OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's lacrosse junior Marissa Meiklejohn (Severn, Md./Old Mill) was named to the 2013 Synapse Sports Third Team All-American on Thursday, marking the Mustangs' third-straight season in which they have had an All-America selection.
In 2011 and 2012, Sarah Pincus was named to the Jewish Sports Review's Women's College All-America Lacrosse Team as a first team selection.
Meiklejohn, the Commonwealth Conference Player of the Year this season, ranked second on the team and with 51 goals, 24 assists and 75 points, all career-highs. Her 75 points and 51 goals rank second in school history for a single-season. She scored a goal in each of the team's 18 games this season while netting three or more in nine.
A two-time First Team All-Conference selection and two-time IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region honoree, Meiklejohn finsihed the season ranked fifth in the Commonwealth Conference in points, six in assists and eighth in goals. She was tied for third with three game-winning goals.
Meikeljohn currently ranks seventh in school history with 160 points, fifth with 123 goals and 10th with 39 assists.
