Kathy Railey Named to NCAA Women's Lacrosse Rules Committee

INDIANAPOLIS – Stevenson University women's lacrosse coach Kathy Railey has been named to the NCAA Women's Lacrosse Rules Committee for a four-year term from September, 2018 until August, 2022.  Railey will be serving a second stint on the committee, as she was also a member from 2005-2011.

The NCAA Women's Lacrosse Rules Committee, which consists of members from NCAA Divisions I, II and III, continually reviews all playing rules, and recommends changes that aim to improve both game play and player safety.  The committee consists of eight members, three of whom are from Division III institutions.

Railey, who also serves as Stevenson's Senior Woman Administrator and as an Associate Director of Athletics, recently wrapped up her 13th season as head coach of the Mustangs in 2018.  She guided Stevenson to the Commonwealth Conference championship and the program's first NCAA berth in 2014 and to five straight conference championship games from 2013-17.  In 19 seasons as a head coach, including six at Eastern Connecticut, Railey has amassed a 197-132 career record.
