Mustangs, Four Student-Athletes Earn IWLCA Academic Accolades

GRAND LAKE, Colo. - The Stevenson women's lacrosse team was one of 165 Division III institutions to be named to the 2018 IWLCA Zag Sports Academic Honor Squads while the Mustangs had four student-athletes named to the IWLCA/Zag Sports Division III Academic Honor Roll.

A total of 339 programs across Division I, II, III and NAIA were honored. All teams who finished with a team cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher earned the Honor Squad. Stevenson was also one of nine schools in the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) to earn the honor.

In addition, a total of 639 student-athletes across 165 institutions were named to the Academic Honor Roll. All student-athletes were nominated by their schools and have achieved at least junior status academically and had a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.5 or greater.

The six Mustangs named to the Honor Roll were seniors Jamie Bittner, Hana Tankersley and Mary Kate White as well as junior Dana Stevens. The group is a part of the 21 student-athletes from the MAC Commonwealth.

The Stevenson women's lacrosse team advanced to its sixth consecutive MAC Commonwealth semifinal game, falling to 12th-ranked and top-seeded Messiah.
