Mustangs Travel to Goucher, Win in OT

Towson, MD.-

Freshman Kim Moxley (Westminster, MD/Westminster) scored the game-winning, overtime goal, to lift Villa Julie (1-1) to a 3-2 win over Goucher College (0-1) in a non-conference women's soccer match on Wednesday afternoon.

The Gophers took their first lead, 2-1, with just under 2 minutes to go in the game.  Villa then got an amazing goal from Moxley with :11 seconds left to send the game into overtime.

Junior Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) chipped in with the first goal of the game for the Mustangs.  VJC dominated the game statistically out shooting the Gophers 26-10, but Gouchers goalie had an amazing day making 16 saves.

With the win, Villa Julie evens their record at 1-1. The Mustangs return to the pitch Saturday at Cazenovia College for their first NEAC contest.
