Mustangs Roll Over College of Notre Dame 4-1

Owings Mills, MD--

The College of Notre Dame jumped out to an early 1-0 lead with a goal from Amanda Hubbel, but that would prove to be their only goal for the contest. Villa Julie quickly evened the score with a goal by freshman Jackie Hoffman (Baltimore, MD/ Catholic) and assisted by junior Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/ Hempfield).

Two minutes, Mustangs took a 2-1 lead with a goal from junior Laura Robinson (Westminster, MD/ Westminster) also assisted by Cristino. Before the half, VJC increased their advantage to 3-1 with an off the goal post goal by junior Katie Orlando (Baltimore, MD/ Perry Hall) assisted by a throw-in from junior Rose Phelan (Carney, MD/ Loch Raven).

Villa Julie's defense dominated the second half keeping the Gators scoreless and allowing only 6 shots at the goal. The Mustangs increased the score margin to 4-1 with another goal from Jackie Hoffman assisted by Laura Robinson.

Mustangs improve their record to 8-3 (5-1), and take the field October 17th at home against conference rivals D'Youville College at 1:00.
