Graeme Millar Named Women's Soccer Coach

Villa Julie College Director of Athletics Brett
Adams announced today the hiring of Graeme
Millar as the head coach of VJC's women's soccer
program. Millar, who is the programs 7th
head coach, will begin his duties at Villa on July 12th.
"I am pleased to announce Graeme
Millar as the new head women's soccer coach
at Villa Julie College," said Adams .
"Graeme has been a wonderful team player in our
department over the past year and will seamlessly continue to move
our program to the elite level of the CAC."
Millar was promoted to head coach after one season as
an assistant at Villa Julie. As Lynnette
Buffingtons' lead assistant, the Mustangs made their second
trip to the NCAA tournament in which they defeated The College of
Notre Dame in the first round, and then fell to The College of New
Jersey in the round of 32.
As a native of Scotland , he played soccer at the collegiate level for Glasgow Caledonian University and at amateur level for Glasgow Westerlands in the Glasgow Western Division. Millar attended Cardonald College where he achieved a Higher National Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development. He, then, pursued a job with Major League Soccer Camps in America . While working for MLS, Millar coached and trained hundreds of youth players in Pennsylvania , New Jersey , New York , Texas , Oklahoma , Arkansas , and Michigan , and worked primarily with youth players of Major League Soccer Teams Dallas Burn and the New York Metrostars.
Millar holds a U.S.S.F. "B" coaching license and several licenses for the Scottish Football Association. He also received his NSCAA National and Advanced National coaching licenses. Millar also coaches for the Maryland Olympic Development Program.
