Mustangs Trounce Shorewomen

Chestertown, MD.- Senior forward Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/Hemphield) scored goals on her first three shots and finished with four goals as the Mustangs dominated host Washington College, 6-1 in women's soccer action.  Villa takes their season record to 2-1 with the win while Washington falls to 0-3.

Seniors Kelly Townley (Baltimore, MD/John Carroll), and Laura Robinson (Westminster, MD/Westminster) each tacked on a goal to make the final mark 6-1.  Adding assists for the 'Stangs were seniors Rose Phelan (Carney, MD/Loch Raven), and Townley and sophomore Meghan Smith (Stevensville, MD/Kent Island).  Sophomore netminder Casey Brown (Barnesville, MD/Poolesville) was strong in the net as she recorded five saves on the day.  Villa outshot Washington 24-14 as they cruised to the impressive win.

The Mustangs are back in action on Wednesday as the host Goucher College for a 4pm start.
