Mustangs Fall 6-1 To Frostburg

Owings Mills, MD- The Mustangs came out with intensity, with senior forward Laura Robinson (Westminster, MD/Westminster) scoring off an assist from Rose Phelan (Carney, MD/Loch Raven) in the first minute of the game. After that goal, Frostburg took control of the game, capitalizing on opportunities off corner kicks and counter attacks. The Bobcats lead 4-1 at the end of the first half, and scored two goals in the second half to win the game 6-1.

VJC sophomore goalkeeper Casey Brown (Barnesville, MD/Poolesville) had 11 saves, including one suspenseful shot that rebounded off the bottom of the crossbar into her hands. The Mustangs will travel to Marymount University on Thursday, Sept. 20, for their first CAC match-up.
