Sadowski and Cristino Named to CAC All-Conference Team

St. Mary's City, MD - The Villa Julie Women's Soccer Team showed they could compete in the Capital Athletic Conference in their first season and their competitors felt the same way by voting two of the Mustangs to the Capital Athletic Conference All-Conference 2nd team.  Senior forward Tonia Cristino (Lancaster, PA/Hempfield) and Senior defender Michele Sadowski (Baltimore, MD/Kenwood) both earned the honors, beating out some tough competition.

Cristino totaled 9 goals- 5 game winners- and 5 assists for the season. Coach Millar feels, "As captain, Cristino has led by example on and off the field. Cristino's dedication to the team and her tireless work effort has helped her become one of the best forwards in the conference and in the region. A gifted attacking player with a great eye for goal."

Sadowski has been a rock at the back of the team, helping to shut down some of the most dangerous forwards in the region. A versatile player that has played all positions on the defense. Coach Millar says, "Defenders do not always get the recognition they deserve as there are no statistics on how many tackles they made or how many times they where in the right position at the right time to prevent a goal. Michelle deserved this award as she brought experience to the team and was consistently strong at the back. A very hard-working player that we will deeply miss on the team."
