OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Stevenson women's soccer Taylor Zimmerman (Jarrettsville, Md./John Carroll), junior Jamie Matlock (Bridgeton, N.J. / Cumberland) and freshman Allison Johnson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) were all named to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team on Wednesday.
Zimmerman, who earned her third consecutive third team all-region selection, was named to the All-Commonwealth Conference Second Team after appearing in 22 of the team's 21 games and making 21 starts. She helped lead a defense that ranked fifth in the conference with 24 goals allowed and second in shutouts with 12.
Zimmerman appeared in 81 career games for the Mustangs while making 77 starts and was a three-time all-conference selection. She was also named to the ECAC Division III South All-Star Second Team and NSCAA Scholar All-East Region Third Team in 2011.
Johnson, an All-Commonwealth Conference First Team selection, was ranked second in the Commonwealth Conference in both goals against average at 0.69 and saves percentage at .863 percent. She was also fifth in shutouts.
Matlock, an All-Commonwealth Conference Second Team selection, led the team and ranked ninth conference in goals with seven. She also finished second on the team with 17 points.
A total of 21 players from the Middle Atlantic Conference earned all-region honors, including 12 from the Commonwealth Conference. For a list of this year's selections, please click here.
