Allison Johnson Named to ECAC South Women's Soccer All-Star First Team

CENTERVILLE, Mass. - Stevenson women's soccer freshman Allison Johnson (Mt. Laurel, N.J./Lenape) was named to the ECAC Division III South Women's Soccer All-Star Team on Thursday. She was the only player from the Commonwealth Conference to be selected while five players from the Freedom Conference were recognized.

Johnson is the third Mustang in the last four years to be honored by the ECAC, joining senior Taylor Zimmerman (Jarrettsville, Md./John Carroll) who was a second team selection a year ago and Stephanie Eyler '11 who was chosen to the first team in 2009.

Johnson, who helped lead Stevenson to the 2012 ECAC Division III South Women's Soccer Championship, was named to the NSCAA All-Mid-Atlantic Region Third Team on Wednesday.

An All-Commonwealth Conference First Team selection this season, Johnson ranked second in the Commonwealth Conference in both goals against average at 0.69 and saves percentage at .863 percent. She was also fifth in shutouts.

The Mustangs played against five of the 13 players named to the 2012 ECAC Division III South Women's Soccer All-Star Team, inlcuding Lyndsay Ellis and Katie Fissel of Wilkes in the ECAC South title game. Others included Johns Hopkins' Taylor Schulte and Hannah Kronick as well as Frostburg State's Adria Graham.

Kronick and Graham were selected as the ECAC South Co-Offensive Players of the Year.
