Ashlyn Hawbaker Named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week

ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson women's soccer sophomore Ashlyn Hawbaker (Keedysville, Md./Boonsboro) was named Commonwealth Conference Player of the Week on Tuesday, becoming the first Mustang to earn a weekly honor this season.

Hawbaker earned her first career player of the week honor after totaling two goals and two assists over the weekend at the Kickoff Classic hosted by Haverford College.

Hawbaker totaled four points in a 4-0 victory over Eastern on Saturday. She assisted on the game winning goal while adding a goal and another assist, marking the first two assists of her career. She totaled six goals a season ago.

In a 2-0 victory against host Haverford, Hawbaker score the game winner just 1:46 into the game.

Stevenson, who was ranked at No. 4 in Tuesday's NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll and is receiving votes in the NSCAA National Poll, host Dickinson on Wednesday. Game time is at 7:00 p.m. The Red Devils are ranked fifth in the NSCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Poll.
