Jessica Fritsche Named Track and Field Graduate Assistant

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Newly appointed Stevenson track and field head coach Dave Berdan announced that Jessica Fritsche will serve as the Mustangs graduate assistant for the 2018-19 season. Fritsche, who will work with both the men's and women's indoor and outdoor teams, will begin her duties at the end of August.

Fritsche comes to Stevenson after serving as an assistant coach at Eastern University for the past three seasons. Joining the Eagles for their inaugural season in 2015-16, Fritsche served as the program's primary jumps coach.

A four year member of Millersville's track and field team, Fritsche competed as both a jumper and a sprinter. As team captain, she led the Marauders to a top-three finish in the PSAC for the first time in school history. She was named all-conference in both her junior and senior years after coming back from a sophomore-year injury. She was also named a PSAC Scholar-Athlete all four years and was part of the All-Academic team.

Fritsche is a 2015 graduate of Millersville University, earning her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in physical therapy.
