BALTIMORE, Md. - Freshman Allison Krahe placed second in the 800 with a time of 2:19.37 at the ECAC Division III Track and Field Championships, hosted by Johns Hopkins. Junior Jess Rega took second in the shot put with a toss of 12.42 meters.
The Mustangs finished fifth in the team standings with 60 points.
Freshman Rachel Panek concluded her stellar freshman season with a third-place finish in the heptathlon with 4240 points. On day two of the event, Panek had a personal-best toss of 27.70m to take fifth place in the javelin. Panek took third in the 800 with a 2:31.89, while placing sixth in the long jump with a 4.71m leap.
Sophomore Kimberly Hammond broke her own school record in the long jump with a leap of 5.76 meters, giving her third place. Sophomore Dyonne Hicks finished just behind Hammond and in fourth with a personal-best leap of 5.48m. Hammond also placed fifth in the 100m dash finals with a 12.83.
Sophomore Kiarra Nowell took fourth overall in the shot put with a toss of 11.79m. Nowell also took sixth in the discus with a 34.68 meter throw, while junior Lauren Dioses finished just ahead and in fifth with a distance of 34.79m.
Host Hopkins won the team championship with 135.5 points.
