Ani Takes Fourth in Shot Put at Kaiser Classic

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. - Junior Danika Ani took fourth overall in the shot put with a toss of 13.04 meters at the Paul Kaiser Classic, hosted by Shippensburg. Ani's top performance of 13.12 at the Danny Curran Invitational in March is still tops in the MAC and second-best in the Mideast Region.

Senior Allison Bishop took 15th in the hammer with a throw of 41.16m. Bishop would also take 17th in the discus with a distance of 33.83m. 

Sophomore Rachel Panek had a top leap of 5.03 meters in the long jump, giving her 14th overall in a field of primarily Division II athletes. Panek would also take 19th in the javelin with a throw of 29.62m. 

The Mustangs compete next at the MAC Championships, hosted by Widener, starting on Thursday, May 2 through Saturday, May 4.
