Mustangs Travel to York for Tri-Match

York, PA-

The Mustangs went 1-1 this weekend at the York College tri-match, bringing their overall record to 13-8 and their CAC record to 1-5.

They competed first with Lincoln University, winning 3-0 with line scores of 30-7, 30-16, and 30-22. Danielle Katsampis (New Windsor, MD/Francis Scott Key) led the Mustangs with 10 kills and two aces. Julie Olson (Spofford, NH/Keene), Brittany Umetin (Havre de Grace, MD/Mt. Zion), and Jessica Smiley (Baltimore, MD/Kenwood) tallied four serving aces each.

Their second match was versus conference foe York College of Pennsylvania. The Mustangs fell 3-0 with line scores of 30-20, 32-30, and 30-16. Alana Eller (Ellicott City, MD/Centennial) and Katsampis tallied 10 kills each. Umetin completed 28 set assists, while Olson maintained the defense with 20 digs.

The Mustangs return to the court on October 9 when they host College of Notre Dame.
