ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Stevenson women's volleyball team won its 12th-straight game on Saturday, three shy of the school record, as the Mustangs posted straight-set wins over Muhlenberg 25-12, 25-21, 25-16 and Lebanon Valley 25-21, 25-20, 25-21 Saturday at Lebanon Valley's LVC Gymnasium.
During its 12-game win streak, Stevenson (24-2) has won nine in straight-sets and is 3-0 on the road and 4-0 in neutral site contests.
The school record for consecutive wins is 15 set by the 2008 team who started the season 15-0.
Freshman Megan Miller (Middletown, Del./St. Georges Tech) led the Mustangs offensively as she totaled 19 kills, including 11 versus Lebanon Valley to go along with five blocks. Junior Avery Gabbard (Arnold/Broadneck) had 15 kills against the Dutchmen while senior Kristin Steinnagel (Eldersburg/Liberty) had three blocks.
Freshman Samantha Perillo (Wilmington, Del./Wilmington Friends) totaled 37 digs on Saturday, including 20 versus Lebanon Valley.
Sophomore Christine Isenberg (Taneytown/Francis Scott Key) finished the day with 10 kills and 24 digs, totaling four and 17, respectively, against the Dutchmen. Sophomore Jessica Gieselman (Westminster/Winters Mill) totaled five kills, 61 assists and 17 digs while senior Alexa Carney (Towson/Towson) added three kills and 19 digs.
Stevenson returns to action on Tuesday with a 7:00 p.m., CAC contest at Hood.
