LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Stevenson University women's volleyball team entered the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III Top 25 for the first time since the 2013 season Tuesday, checking in at No. 25 following a win over then-No. 12 Juniata on Saturday.
The Mustangs, who have been receiving votes all season, currently stand 22-1 overall and are winners of 10 straight. Stevenson leads the MAC Commonwealth race with a 5-0 league record heading into Tuesday night's 7:00 match at Albright College.
Stevenson was last ranked during the 2013 season when it was ranked for a total of 11 weeks. The Mustangs were ranked as high as No. 18 that year and finished 19th in the final poll with a 37-3 record.
Wittenberg (15-0) leads the poll with 55 of 67 first place votes, followed by Colorado College (18-1), Trinity (Texas) (18-3), Emory (17-2) and Southwestern (Texas) (19-3). Juniata fell to No. 17 in this week's poll, while Carnegie Mellon is the other ranked team Stevenson has faced this season, sitting 10th.
