Odolla Paces Mustangs at Paul Short Invitational

BETHLEHEM, PA. - Sophomore Achol Odolla set a new personal best in the 6k with a time of 23:48 at the Paul Short Invitational, hosted by Lehigh University. Odolla, who broke her previous personal mark by 40 seconds, placed 47th overall out of 271 runners in the Non-Division I Gold race.

The Mustangs finished 19th out of 32 schools.

Freshman Emily Gates bested her personal-record time by one minute and 46 seconds with a time of 23:58, while sophomore Cassandra Morris set a personal mark with a 24:28. 

Junior Kayla Bias completed the course in 26:00. Freshman Chloe O'Hara bettered her first collegiate 6k time by 58 seconds with a 27:01.

Freshman Carleigh Bartholomew and junior Mary Sam had times of 27:46 and 27:56 for the Mustangs.

Elizabeth Hilfrank of Gettysburg won the race with a time of 21:52, while Wesleyan took the team title. 

The Mustangs will be competing next in Claremont, California when they take part in the Pomona-Pitzer Cross Country Invite on Saturday, October 14 at 8:30 am.
