Winklbauer Runs Season-Best 6k, Places 16th at Pomona-Pitzer Invite

CLAREMONT, Ca. - Junior Kelly Winklbauer clocked a season-best 6k time of 23:16.31 as the Stevenson women's cross country team competed at the Pomona-Pitzer Invitational, held on the campus of Pomona College. Winklbauer's time was her fastest 6k since running her current personal-best time of 22:46.5 at the Lehigh Paul Short Run on 10/2/15.

The Mustangs, who were competing in California for the first time in program history, finished ninth out of 13 schools with a team score of 231. 

Sophomore Achol Odolla completed the course in 24:29.98, while freshman Emily Gates crossed the line just after Odolla in 24:31.8.

Freshmen Cassandra Morris and Chloe O'Hara finished with times of in 25:46.94 and 27:16.29, respectively. 

Bryn McKillop of Claremont Mudd Scripps won the individual title with a 21:24.99, while her school took the team title with a score of 33.

Stevenson competes in its final meet before the MAC Championships when they run at the LVC Last Chance Run Fast Invitational on Friday, October 20.
