Sabo Places Sixth, Mustangs Third at Don Cathcart Invite

SALISBURY, Md. - Freshman Mikhayla Sabo clocked a personal-best 6k time of 23:04.3, which gave her sixth-place overall at the Don Cathcart Invitational, hosted by Salisbury. The Mustangs took third overall in the team standings with a team score of 89, giving them their best finish at this event.

Junior Achol Odolla clocked a personal-best time of 23:32.2 en route to a 14th-place finish, while sophomore Emily Gates finished three spots behind Odolla with a PR of 23:52.1.

Junior Cassandra Morris crossed the line with a personal-best time of 24:14.5, which placed her just outside of the top 25.

Senior Kelly Winklbauer made her season debut with a time of 24:47.5.

Seniors Kayla Bias and Mary Sam ran times of 25:43.8 and 26:00.8, respectively.

Mercy Chemutai of Maryland-Eastern Shore (Division I) took the individual title, while host Salisbury took the team title with 42 points. 

The Mustangs will head to Orlando, Fla. to compete in the Disney Cross Country Classic, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on Saturday, October 6.
