Sabo Leads Mustangs to Seventh Place at Disney Classic

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - Freshman Mikhayla Sabo clocked a 19:40.58 in the 5k at the Disney Cross Country Classic, held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. Sabo, who finished 38th overall out of 195 runners, led the Mustangs to a seventh-place finish out of 22 Division I-III schools.

Senior Kelly Winklbauer ran a personal-best time of 19:49.28 to take 44th overall. 

Sophomore Emily Gates and junior Achol Odolla finished back-to-back with personal-record times of 20:06.19 and 20:07.52. 

Junior Cassandra Morris clocked a personal best with a 20:22.41. 

Senior Kayla Bias cracked the top-100 with a 21:41.43. 

Youngstown State (Div. I) took the team title, while Shilet Mitei of Florida A&M won the individual title with an 18:01.11. 

The Mustangs have the week off before competing in the LVC Last Chance Run Fast Meet, held at the Union Canal Tunnel Park, on Friday, October 19.
