ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Stevenson University football team placed four student-athletes on the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic Team released on Thursday morning. Senior Ashton Leschke was honored for the third time in his career, while senior Brendan Flaherty, junior Connor Davis and sophomore Titus Johnson were also recognized.
Stevenson's four selections to the 22-member team were tied with Delaware Valley for second-most in the conference.
Leschke, a Biology major, was named All-Academic for the third straight season. A three-time CoSIDA Academic All-Distict choice, and a MAC First Team All-Conference performer this season, Leschke had a team-high 78 tackles in 11 contests from his starting inside linebacker spot, including 3.5 tackles for a loss. He also finished the season with one interception, four pass breakups, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery.
Flaherty, a Business Administration major, was a D3football.com Second Team All-Region selection and a member of the MAC First Team after starting all 11 games at right tackle for the Mustangs. Flaherty was also named First Team All-ECAC.
Davis, a Business Administration major, earned MAC All-Conference Second Team honors for the second straight season after starting all 11 games at left tackle. He has appeared in 28 games over his first three seasons for the Mustangs.
Johnson, a Criminal Justice major, was a MAC Second Team All-Conference selection. He was the Mustangs' leading rusher, carrying 108 times for 453 yards and three touchdowns, while also racking up 22 receptions for 213 yards and a pair of scores.
Stevenson finished 8-3 overall and earned its fifth straight postseason appearance, competing in the Centennial-MAC Bowl Series.
