Shur Shoots 77 in Opening Round of Penn State Harrisburg Invite

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Stevenson men's golf freshman Matthew Shur carded a personal-best score of 77 in the opening round of the Penn State Harrisburg Invitational held at the Dauphin Highlands Golf Course. The Mustangs are currently in 12th place with a team score of 338.

Freshman Matthew Maione finished just three strokes back of Shur with an 80, while sophomore Brooks Holloway shot an 86. 

Freshman Evan Welsh shot a 95 for the Mustangs. 

Danny Harcourt of Gettysburg and Evan Overcash of Muhlenberg are currently tied for the lead after 18 holes. Both players shot a three-under par 69 to open the tournament. 

Gettysburg leads the team standings by 10 strokes over second-place Farmingdale State with a team score of 292 (+4). 

The second and final round takes place on Monday, September 19 at 11:30 am.
