Maione Shoots Personal Best, Mustangs Finish Tied For Fifth at F&M Fall Invitational

LANCASTER, Pa. - Stevenson men's golf freshman Matthew Maione shot a personal-best score of 71, which placed him into a tie for seventh overall at the Franklin and Marshall Fall Invitational held at the Bent Creek Country Club. The Mustangs finished tied for fifth with a team score of 299.

Maione now has two top-10 finishes on the season. 

Junior Austin Fuglestad carded a 74 to finish tied for 20th. Fuglestad has shot under 80 in eight of his 10 rounds this fall.

Freshman Andrew Wally, who earned MAC Player of the Week honors on Monday, shot a 75 to finish the tournament tied for 24th.  

Freshman Matthew Shur finished the day with a 79 to complete the team score for Stevenson.

Freshman Kyle Patterson shot an 85 for the Mustangs. 

Nick Dimaio of Swarthmore, who won the tiebreaker over Kevin Sarlo of Rutgers-Camden, won the individual title with a four-under par 67. Rutgers-Camden won the team championship by two strokes over Swarthmore with a total score 283.

The Mustangs conclude the fall season at the Lebanon Valley Invitational held at the Lebanon Country Club on Monday, October 24.
