Wally Shoots 74 in Opening Round of Towson Invitational

GRASONVILLE, Md. - Stevenson men's golf freshman Andrew Wally carded a 74 in the first round of the spring season-opening Towson University Invitational, held at the Prospect Bay Country Club. Wally, who is currently tied for 24th overall, has shot under 80 in each of his 11 rounds this season.

Junior Austin Fuglestad carded an 81 to open up his spring season, while freshman Matthew Maione finished the day with an 86.

Freshman Matthew Shur rounded out the team score for the Mustangs with an 88. 

Freshman Tyler Slusarczyk shot a 96. 

Jared Mactas of Elon leads the field after firing a five-under par 67, while Farleigh Dickinson leads the team standings with a combined score of 287 (-1). 

The Mustangs are currently 21st overall with a score of 329. 

The second and final round of the tournament takes place on Sunday, March 26.
