Wally Shoots Two-Under Par 70, Leads After Opening Round of Messiah Falcon Classic

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Stevenson men's golf freshman Andrew Wally has a three-shot lead after shooting a two-under par 70 in the opening round of the Messiah Falcon Classic, held at the Blue Ridge Country Club.  Wally currently has eight rounds under 75 on the season. 

The Mustangs are currently third in the team standings with a combined score of 319. 

Freshman Matthew Maione is currently eighth overall on the leaderboard after carding a five-over par 77. Maione has shot a 77 in back-to-back rounds. 

Wynn Geis, who shot an 81 to open the tournament, is currently tied for 16th.

Freshman Matthew Shur finished a stroke back of Geis to round out the team score for Stevenson.

Johnny Messina shot an 86 on the day, while junior Austin Fuglestad carded an 89. 

Lebanon Valley leads the team standings by four over Franklin Marshall with a combined score of 308.
