Angle Finishes Tied for First at Benedictine Florida Quad

ST. CLOUD, Fla. - Freshman Shane Angle finished tied for first overall after carding a two-over par 72 at the Benedictine Men's Florida Quad, held at Royal St. Cloud. The first place finish was the first of Angle's collegiate career.

The Mustangs finished second overall in the team standings with a total score of 313, which was just six shots back of first-place North Central.

Senior Josh Maisel finished tied for eighth overall with 79, while junior Tyler Slusarczyk finished a shot back of Maisel and in 10th. 

Junior Matthew Shur rounded out the team score with an 82. Junior Matthew Maione and graduate student Matt Rentz finished with scores of 83 and 85, respectively.

The Mustangs compete next at the Calvin Celebration Classic, held at the Celebration Golf Club, on Tuesday, March 20.
