Shur Cards Second-Straight 80 at NCAA Championships, Mustangs Finish 39th

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. - The Stevenson men's golf team finished 39th out of 42 schools with a two-round score of 662 (+86) at the NCAA Division III Golf Championships, held at the Keene Trace Golf Club. Only the top-18 teams after two rounds advance to the final two days.

Junior Matthew Shur matched his opening round score of 80, giving him a two-day score of 160 (+16). 

Senior Josh Maisel finished his collegiate career with an 84 (+12), for a total score of 164 (+20). Maisel finishes his two-year career at Stevenson with one victory, six top-5 and 11 top-10 finishes. 

Freshman Shane Angle improved on his opening round score by a stroke with an 85 (+13), for a two-day total of 171. Junior Tyler Slusarczyk finished the tournament with total score of 173 (85, 88). 

Senior Wynn Geis shot an 82 in his final collegiate round, a 10-stroke improvement from the first day. Geis ends his three-year Stevenson career with one win, four top-5 and eight top-10 finishes. 

Cameron Willis of Wittenberg and Zane Brownrigg of Methodist are tied for first after two rounds. Illinois Wesleyan currently leads the team standings by four strokes (+2).
