Mustangs Ninth After Opening Round of Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic

ABBOTTSTOWN, Pa. - The Stevenson men's golf team is currently ninth out of 18 schools with a total score of 309 after the opening round of the Mason-Dixon Collegiate Classic, held at The Bridges Golf Club.

Seniors Matthew Shur and Tyler Slusarczyk are currently tied for 19th after carding scores of 76 (+4) to open up the tournament. 

Sophomore Shane Angle shot one stroke above his season best with a 78, while senior Matthew Maione and sophomore Will Ford both finished the day with scores of 79.

Kevin Keane of McDaniel and James Harcourt of Gettysburg are tied for first after carding rounds of 72 (E). McDaniel leads the team standings by one stroke over York (Pa.) with a total score of 296.

The second and final round of the tournament tees off on Sunday, September 29.
