ST. DAVID'S, Pa. - Stevenson men's soccer sophomore Alex Morales netted his third goal of the season while senior DR Medtart scored his second as the Mustangs posted their third consecutive victory with a 2-0 non-conference victory over Eastern Saturday afternoon at Olson Field.

  • After the first two shots by the Mustangs (6-2-2) were off target, Morales found the back of the net in the 11th minute on an assist by junior Dylan Holy.
  • The Eagles (4-5-1) recorded the next two shots with neither on frame before junior Tariq Lee fired a shot on net in the 19th minute that was saved by Anthony Hitchcock.
  • In the final five minutes, sophomores Will Earhart and Owen Mostoller both recorded shots on goal but both were knocked away by Hitchcock.

  • Eastern recorded two of the first three shots before sophomore Sean McDonald had the first shot on net of the half in the 69th minute.
  • Just two minutes after the Eagles were issued a red card, the Mustangs doubled their lead as Medtart scored an unassisted goal with 3:26 remaining in regulation.

  • Stevenson outshot Eastern, 15-9, including 10-4 in the opening half.
  • The Eagles held a 6-1 advantage in corner kicks, including a 4-1 edge in the second half.
  • Morales has three goals in his last six games after not recording a goal in his rookie season.
  • For Medtart, he made his 65th career start, which ranks fourth in program history.
  • Sophomore Matt Stellitano posted his third consecutive shutout and fourth this season.
