ANNVILLE, Pa. - Stevenson men's tennis senior Bryan Gieselman was one of 10 student-athletes named to the Academic All-Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) men's tennis team announced by the league on Wednesday.
The Spring Academic All-MAC teams recognize the top student-athletes both in the classroom and on the field during the 2017 spring semester. The MAC sports information directors nominate and vote on the Academic All-MAC teams, giving 50 percent weight on both academic success and athletic success.
A three-time First Team All-Conference member, Gieselman was named the MAC Men's Tennis Senior Scholar-Athlete and earns his second straight Academic All-MAC accolade. This season, Gieselman led the team with seven singles victories, all coming at the No. 1 flight. He also finished second on the team with three conference single wins.
The senior finished with 14 doubles victories, with 11 of them coming at the No. 1 flight with junior Wornden Ly.
Gieselman finishes his career with a program record 48 doubles victories while ranking tied for sixth with 32 single wins. His 80 combined wins ranks second in program history, just two shy of Peter Hoblitzell '16.
