Distance Runners Solid at Tufts Cupid Challenge

MEDFORD,Mass. - The three Mustang distance runners that took part in the Cupid Challenge, hosted by Tufts, turned in solid performances in their respective events.

Senior Langston Gash took fourth overall in the 3000 meter run with a season-best time of 8:44.82. Gash's time is currently third best in the Middle Atlantic Conference thus far. Junior Patrick Watson clocked an 8:51.29 to finish 13th overall. Watson's time of 8:37.04 (converted to 8:31.10 based on track size), which took place at the River Hawk Opener on November 30, 2018, is currently tops in the MAC, second in the AARTFC and third in the Mideast region.

Junior Iddriss Iddriss turned in a season-best time of 1:57.08 in the 800 to take eighth overall. Iddriss' time is currently tops in the MAC and the region. 

The Mustangs compete next at the Fasttrack Invitational, held at Ocean Breeze Park in Staten Island, N.Y., on Friday, February 8.
