Four From Men's Indoor Track Named All-Region

USTFCCCA RELEASE

NEW ORLEANS – A total of four members of the Stevenson University men's indoor track and field team were named to the USTFCCCA Mideast All-Region team announced earlier this week.

Senior Kendall Belser and sophomore Dereck Davis were both honored as All-Region performers in the 60-meter dash, while junior Iddriss Iddriss was honored in the 800-meter run.  Finally, sophomore Ritchie Case earned All-Region accolades in the heptathlon.

The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams.

Davis and Belser posted the No. 3 and No. 4 times in the 60 meter dash in the region during the season.  Davis clocked a 6.89 at this past weekend's AARTFC Championship, a time which also earned him a spot in this week's NCAA Division III Championship.  Belser recorded a time of 6.95 seconds at the Middle Atlantic Conference Indoor Championship on February 23.

Iddriss registered the second-fastest time in the 800 at the AARTFC Championship, posting a converted time of 1:53.47.  Iddriss placed fourth in the event.

Case, who also qualified for nationals, registered the second-best effort in the region in the heptathlon, compiling 4,781 points at the Bison Open hosted by Bucknell on January 25.
