TOWSON, Md. - The Stevenson men's 4x100m relay team set a new school record at the Towson Invitational. Senior Devonte Williams, freshman Aaron Holliday, and sophomores Tylor Bailey and Matt Riggins finished with a combined time of 41.69 seconds to take first overall in the event. Their time is currently eighth best in all of Division III.
In the 100m dash preliminaries, Tylor Bailey qualified for the finals with a time of 11.17 seconds. Bailey would later place sixth in the finals with an 11.33.
Sophomore Tevin Bailey had a personal-best distance of 6.46m in the long jump, which gave him second overall in the event.
Freshman Iddriss Iddriss took fourth overall in the 1500m run with a time of 4:14.29, while Riggins took 13th in the 200 with a 22.89.
Sophomore Forrest Allen finished third in the javelin with a season-best throw of 47.86 meters. Allen also took fifth in the hammer toss with a 37.29. Junior Curtis McInnis and freshman Sid Yap placed sixth and seventh overall with distances of 36.57 and 36.07.
Freshman Nikita Kulick took first overall in the 3000m Steeplechase with a personal-best time of 10:21.88. Sophomores Jackson Morrow and Sam Mercoli finished second and third with times of 10:27.20 and 10:36.55.
Sophomore Colin Horne clocked a personal best in the 400 with a 51.92.
The Mustangs finished fifth overall in the team standings with 69 points. California (Pa.) took first overall with 102.
Stevenson competes next at the two-day Morgan State Legacy Meet starting on Friday, April 21 through Saturday, April 22.
