CHESTER, Pa. - The defending MAC Outdoor Track and Field Co-Champion Stevenson men's track and field team turned in several impressive performances on the first day of the MAC Outdoor Championships, hosted by Widener.
Sophomore Ritchie Case currently leads the decathlon after five of 10 events, which includes three first-place finishes. Case, who is looking for his second-straight conference title in the event, turned in a personal-best time of 11.28 seconds in the 100m dash to take first overall. Case would also win the shot put (10.53 meters) and the 400m dash (50.26 seconds). Case also placed second in the high jump (1.80 meters) and third in the long jump (6.41m).
Senior Forrest Allen placed sixth overall in the hammer throw with a distance of 43.92 meters.
After the first day of competition, the Mustangs sit in fourth place with 16 points.
The Mustangs continue their MAC title defense on day two of the meet, which takes place on Friday, May 3.
