Zach Brown Honored by USTFCCCA As Regional Assistant Coach of the Year

NEW ORLEANS - Stevenson University assistant track and field coach Zach Brown was named the men's outdoor track Mideast Region Assistant Coach of the Year by the USTFCCCA on Tuesday.

Brown, in his first season at Stevenson, has been an integral part of the Mustangs winning their second straight Middle Atlantic Conference championship this spring.  Working with the Mustang sprints and relays, the Stevenson men's 4x100 posted the No. 1 time in the region this season (41.41 seconds).  At the MAC Championship, the Mustangs swept the top four spots in the 100-meter dash and had three of the top six in the 200.  Sophomore Dereck Davis qualified for this week's NCAA Division III Championship in the 100 after qualifying for the 60-meter dash during the indoor season.  Stevenson ranks No. 4 in the USTFCCCA Event Squad national rankings in the 100.

The Mustangs sit No. 3 in this week's USTFCCCA Mideast Region ranking.
