Stevenson Resumes Indoor Season at Father Diamond Invitational

Fairfax, Va. - The Stevenson men's track and field team continued their indoor season at the Father Diamond Invitational, hosted by George Mason University.

In the 60m dash event, freshman Seun Omalana led the way for the Mustangs with a time 7.40 seconds, putting him in 30th place overall. Senior Dalonte Simpson and freshman Kyle Rudman crossed the line with the same time of 7.55 seconds, while senior Shane Skyers was .01 seconds back with at 7.56.

Skyers was the top Stevenson finisher in the 200m dash, with a time of 24.66 to put him in 25th place overall. Omalana and Simpson crossed the line in the event with times of 24.69 and 24.72.

Senior Michael Scarro ran a 57.14 in the 400m dash, while also completing the 1000m run in 3:06.72.

In the long jump, Omalana had the best Mustang leap with a distance of 5.78m, earning him 10th place overall amongst non-Division I competitors. Rudman and Skyers had jumps of 5.03 and 4.65, respectively.

The Stevenson men continue their season on Friday, January 16th at 4 pm, when they compete in the Orange & Maroon Classic, hosted by Susquehanna University.
