Fairfax, Va. - The Stevenson men's indoor track and field team continued their indoor season at the Patriot Games, hosted by George Mason. In a competition that consisted of Divison I and III schools, the Mustangs broke another school record and added another MAC Championship qualifier.
Senior Nish Patel broke the school record in the 3000m run with a time of 9:45.13 to take 32nd place overall.
In the 200m dash, freshman David Miles added his name to the list of MAC qualifiers for the Mustangs with a time of 24.33. Also competing in the 200m dash was senior Shane Skyers and freshman Adam Diabagate, who clocked in times of 24.70 and 24.84.
Miles also qualified for MACs in the 60m dash with a time of 7.53 seconds. Freshman Oluwaseun Omolana ran a season best time in the event with a 7.32.
Freshman Kyle Rudman led the way in the 400m dash with a solid time of 53.59 to take 31st place overall. Diabagate and senior Dalonte Simpson ran times of 56.52 and 56.72, while junior Grier Melick crossed the line in 57.05.
In the long jump, Omolana had a top leap of 5.69 meters, while Skyers had a jump of 5.52.
The Mustangs continue their season at the Crusader Classic, hosted by Susquehanna on Friday, February 6th.
