BALTIMORE, MD. - The Stevenson men's 4x100m relay team of freshman Seun Omolana, sophomore Devonte Williams, junior Dalonte Simpson and freshman Kyle Rudman qualified for the ECAC Championships with a time of 43.66 seconds as the Mustangs opened up their outdoor season at the Eagle Twilight Meet, hosted by Coppin State.
Senior Shane Skyers and sophomore Brandon Shepherd qualified for the MAC Outdoor Championships in the triple jump with top leaps of 12.75 and 12.24 meters. Skyers took second place overall, while Shepherd took fourth.
Freshman Travis Kesler also earned a spot in the conference meet with a top throw of 13.20 meters in the shot put. Kesler finished third overall in the event.
Omolana placed ninth in 100m dash, crossing the line in 11.88 seconds. Also finishing in the top 15 were Skyers and junior Simpson, who finished with times of 11.94 and 12.08 seconds.
In the 200m dash, freshman David Miles and Simpson finished in 12th and 13th place overall, clocking in at 24.16 and 24.46 seconds.
The Mustangs compete next on Sunday, March 29th at 2:00 p.m. in the Towson Invitational held at Johnny Unitas Stadium.
